Switching to UC

Hi,
I live with my dh, we have 1 dc with another on the way.
I was made redundant when pregnant with dc1 so currently a sahm. Will be going back to work after a period of maternity with next baby.
Based on dh salary we are entitled a small amount of child tax credits, I've just done a calculation on entitled to so see if we get more after next dc.
Turns out we'd get more if we switched from tax credits to universal credit.

I'm confused by this as most threads etc I've seen people are getting much less. Based on just 1dc, current circumstances, on uc we'd be entitled to more than double what we get now.
Can that be right?

It might be slightly more but definitely not double. have you done the full calculation - taken wages away from UC entitlement x 0.63. I think that's how you calculate anyway.

It's 2.6 times more than what I get now.
I used the calculator on entitledto.com that's where I worked out my tax credits and the award I got was accurate. Wages etc all input correctly.
I don't get very much at all just now.

I'm not sure what you mean by takin wages away from uc entitlement x 0.63
