Just had a credit card for the first time and made a couple purchases which I would rather pay back ASAP, my credit card is with marbles does anyone know if I have to wait till the monthly payment date or can I make payments as soon as transactions clear ? Also if I can pay back before date will my spend amount go back up to my limit ?

Yes you can pay it back as soon as you want and your credit limit should go back up too

I regularly make payments as and when I feel like it (before the payment date) and they have always gone through OK...... although I don't know anything about your card provider, but I can't imagine there'd be a problem.

Your credit limit is reviewed every 6 months normally, so if you're paying over the minimum payment every month and never late you will get the maximum benefit from your card.

No that is fine to do - if you are trying to improve your credit score though you want the balance to be zero when they update each month (ideally) marbles is very expensive though so do try and stick to clearing each month whenever you can

The only thing I’d say- be careful about making an extra payment before the new statement arrives, only if you’re assuming it will count towards the following month’s minimum payment, because it won’t. You’ll still have to make that payment too.

^great point!

Don't make a payment until you've received the statement. Otherwise your payment will appear in the wrong statement period, and you could end up defaulting.
