We all need spring summer clothes.
I'm a little lost off with what to get a 10 year old girl ( who isn't too girly ) so I need tips on key bits to put together without the costs spiralling!

I have a ten year old (also non girlie) and we live in Australia....so it feels like it's always summer.

I find the best thing is to find one or two styles of shorts which fit and are comfy....and a ton of t shirts, plus two light hoodies.

That and a few pairs of leggings in case of chilly days.

Just buy lots of colours and patterns which work together....I buy plain and darkish colours because my DD climbs trees and paddles in the creek a lot so she stains anything pale very quickly.

You might get more responses in style & beauty- just say you're on a budget in your OP. There are some fantastic bargain hunters on there.
But you need to specify things such as how often she wears her own clothes (by which I mean does she wear uniform mon-fri?)

Why don’t you sit down together and draw up a list with a budget? At that age they have a decent grasp of Maths so it’s a good time to teach budgeting.

Items could include: underwear and socks/tights, shoes, tops, bottoms, dresses and jumpers/jackets.

Work out what you need for your lifestyle eg maybe only 1 dress for special occasions but 3 bottoms as they’ll be used all the time.

When you go shopping, let your daughter decide on the style, eg what colours she likes but make sure everything matches.

My dd1 is 9 and has quite a few clothes but her go to bits are

Funky print leggings - tesco, reserved.co.uk, or h&m

Character t-shirts - mainly Pokemon or anime ones from qwertee. A few women's size 4 from Primark.

A couple of pairs of shorts - h&m do jersey ones for £3.99 each 3 for 2 in nice fun colours. Or Primark soft denim style ones.

Skater style skirt for parties or days out - h&m

A hoodie - h&m or her women's size 4 pusheen or Pokemon ones from Primark.

Bomber jacket or denim jacket depending on her mood. Both second hand from charity shop.

Pair of slip on trainers, crocs and doc Martin style boots to cover all footwear needs. Plus a thin waterproof jacket that lives in her backpack when there's unexpected showers :)
