Hi. Me and my partner are having some money issues and I just wondered if anyone could give me some advice. I work full time as a carer. However, I am on minimum wage and only take home around £830 a month. My partner has recently lost his job so we have no other income. On Friday, I got paid and some bills that were due came out of my account. However, I owe £168 in council tax tomorrow and only have £1.27 in my bank account. I also need money for travel over the next month. I have no overdraft and have asked friends and family for help but they cannot help me. I cannot get a loan as my credit score isn’t good enough due to me never having any credit card/loan. What should I do!?!? This is really worrying me Confused

So you can't afford your own living costs but thought TTC with an unemployed boyfriend and money troubles was a good idea??

Can you sign up to an agency and do more care work through another employer, so you would have 2 jobs ? or get a second job doing something else ?

Ask your parents for help?

You can try get a food bank referral if you have no income. BF needs ask at job centre for a referral. Your bank may offer you a short overdraft say £100. If you can’t get to work then you will be in a much worse state next month.

Both could approaches agency’s although you are work 36h you only work 3 days out of 7. So short
Term could up hours to dig your way out of this hole.

If family friends can’t help with money could they offer feed you odd meal or give you some tins out the cupboard?

When did you move out OP? Could you move back in with your parents?

At 18 and earning only £800 a month with an unemployed boyfriend, it’s going to be difficult for you to live independently. If possible, could you move Bach home for a couple of years, and save your wage?

Bach home? Back home! 😂

You are either not working full time or on the wrong tax code.
