Monthly bills advice needed

Please would anyone be able to advise on what you roughly pay for bills in a two bed house/flat.

My daughter will soon be moving into a two bed property with dp and 1 year old baby.

I wanted to give her a rough guide to how much she will need to pay out. We live in a 4 bed and at the moment they are living with us 7 of us in the house! so my bills will be higher than a two bed with 3 people.

She already has car tax and insurance and a mobile bill each.

Would anyone recommend gas and electric meter?

I'm just a bit concerned that the overall out goings will be more than there incomings which is 1 full time wage just over minimum wage and 1 part time wage 16 hours. They are moving into a council property so rent is not as high as private rent. Thanks in advance

I can't help with bills for that size property but I would say NEVER get a meter if you can avoid it as the costs are always higher.

If there's one already there they'll usually convert it back if you sign up for direct debits.

I'm £1100 for all bills including food for 1 adult and 2 children (plus 2 dogs and a cat) in a council flat.

When I lived in a 2-bed, I paid around £75 per month for electricity and water (No gas in the property but very well insulated and hot). I didn't have a tv and barely used the computer so didn't use much electricity. Council taxes vary a lot so they'll need to inquire about the specific property.

Non essential bills could include £150 a year for a tv licence or broadband costs etc.

I don't know what their rent and childcare costs will be but with both of them working it sounds manageable as little no as they budget sand are frugal.

*as long as they budget and are frugal.

I live in a fairly large 2 double bed flat, 2 bathrooms, balcony large lounge etc.
Rent 525
Council tax 88 (paid over 12 months)
Electricity (don’t have gas) 100
Water 35
Tv liscence 29.50 (for the first 5 months then 12 after that)
Internet and TV 35 (talk talk)

We then spend 200£ on food for 2 adults and one baby (we love good food and this includes shampoo cleaning stuff etc, some meals out)
£200 on fuel (usually less but budget 200)
88 car insurance, 20 car tax.

Pretty sure that’s it! The “food” shop includes nappies and wipes etc.

Thank you everyone for taking time to reply, all the information is really helpful and my dd can now go in with a very good idea of her coming monthly costs

she also needs contents insurance.
TV licence is £12 something a month.
going rate for unlimited internet and line rental is £20 if she shops around. Cheaper to add phone calls to that (£8 a month) and reduce mobiles to basic talk and text, I spend £20 a year on mine.

she needs to shop around for all bills every year.

they should also budget £150 for 20 mins in the registry office, sort out wills and guardianship.

When I was in a 2 bed flat (until recently) these were my costs pcm:

Gas and elec £82 direct debit
Tv licence £12.12
Council tax £112
Water £29
Internet £25
Contents insurance £10.50
