Maternity Pay

Sorry if this has already been done to death.
I have only just found out I'm pregnant so obviously don't want to ask work these questions just yet!
I have looked at my work's policy and it says the following:

Week 1-6
We will top up your SMP to 100% of your Company Average Weekly Salary (CAWS)

Week 7-15
SMP as well as 100% of your CAWS

Week 16 -21
We will top up your SMP to 100% of your CAWS

So basically I will be on full pay for 21 weeks?
After that I will be on just the SMP for the remaining 12 weeks (SMP for 33 weeks?)
Then 0 pay for the next 19 weeks if I decide to take 52 weeks off?

I don't think we will be entitled to any benefits as we own 2 properties, have some savings and earn nearly £50K combined.

I just want to make sure I've got it correct with the pay so I can make sure I can take 52 weeks off.

Thanks

The week 7-15 looks a bit odd but I'd take it that you have an amazing employer and you'll indeed get full pay for 21 weeks.

We're high earners so not sure about benefits but I think that things like child benefit apply unless one of you starts earning over 50 or 60k. Don't know if you'll be eligible for anything else.

Dont forget you accrue paid holiday on Maternity leave so you can add that on if your company lets you. So some of your unpaid weeks could be taken as paid holiday instead.
