My DF (86) is divorced from his wife (my Step mother). I have LPA for him. He has always maintained that he has done a will. He has now moved into a care home with dementia and it turns out that he has not done a will (we cannot find one in his flat, and his ex-wife, does not think he has done one - he has always been prone to lying). I very much doubt he will have anything of value left by the time he dies what with the cost of the care home, but is there anyway we can get a will done now? or is it too late?

Hello
Perhaps look into the intestacy rules to see what the outcome could be

My mother lied about having made a will. She died suddenly long before she intended to and I spent a week phoning solicitors and searching her house for it. Once I realised she had lied it was easier, I got letters of administration and distributed her will according to the rules.
