Any tips.

Not necessarily a set amount per month. But to have money left over to stash away?

Already shop at Aldi. Bus to work rather than drive.. Altho now started mat leave
I do still do bits in other supermarkets but keep to a minimum
Don't go out with friends often.. Maybe I certainly every couple of months for a carvery
Dont spend on makeup hair etc or posh ckothes or drink.

I know I buy too many treats, as in a nice pudding etx or choc for a movie in the evening etc.

Have you tried baking treats instead of buying?

In my experience it's easier to put aside a set amount first each month for savings, and then use the left over money for the treats. Trying to do it the other way round just doesn't work long term because there will always be stuff that fritters the money away.

Can you budget an amount for savings just like you budget for every other bill? I put a set amount in savings and this doesn’t change month to month as it is just another outgoing.

Treat an amount you'd like to save like you would your direct debits - have it set up to o transfer our of your main account on the first of the month. Then it's already saved and you can't fritter it.
Another tip I read on here and endlessly share is to round down your current account to the nearest ten pounds every Friday, transferring it to a savings account. You don't notice it as much as it's always under ten pounds and it can soon add up.
