Adjusted Net Income

Hi

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked a million different ways (and is certainly explained in different ways dependent on which website I check), but I still can't quite get my head around this.

My payslip says (figures changed obviously!)

Salary £1000
Pension (£100)
Childcare Vouchers (£100)

Total Gross Pay £800

So, (obviously with caveats around charitable giving needing to be taken into account etc), my Adjusted Net Income would be £800 a month, is that right?

The terminology used on the .gov website to explain this is confusing me a bit ("pension payments paid gross" for example - I don't know what this means).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
