Claiming back bank charges - Quick Q

Do you add up every charge then? In 6 years? Is it anything over £12, or everything? Do you deduct the first £12 off every charge eg. a £30 charge, you say £18?

Thanks x

Add them all up Quootie, absolutely everything, even ones that they had good reaosn to charge you for - the whole point is they cannot charge as much as they do legally.
We have just hit DH's bank for £1186, they have agreed to refund it all, we are just waiting for it to arrive back in bank.

Go for it - everything in the last 6 years

I'm a bit scared to try this. I'm worried incase the bank turn round and close my account and I can't get another one. I've paid loads in charges. I'm with Lloyds TSB.

Also, is it worth doing this yourself or getting a company to do it for you. I hate talking to the bank and always break out into a cold sweat when I have to.

they can't close your account, can they? That's blackmail, sort of. Stuff them, ill hide my money under the mattress, blooming theives.
