AIBU - Ethics of Car Selling

Had a 2003 Clio up for sale.

A lady asked me to bring the car to her house and if she was happy she would pay me £250 then and £250 when I leave it too her on Thursday.

She hardly looked at the car at all. Didn't even come to the driver side nor ask questions and gave me the £250 so the car is now hers technically.

Went out this morning to turn the car on and I've noticed an oil leak I didn't notice before the sale. It was confirmed it was coming from the gear box.

Do I revoke the sale and fix the car? Fix it and sell it for the same price? Pretend I know nothing about it and accept the money and hand the car over for the remainder of the money?

For £250? I wouldn't bother, no.

Caveat Emptor (buyer beware) It's her responsibility to examine the car. If she asks, you can't lie, but you don't need to volunteer the information
