Where would I stand on DP needing to give up work to help me.....

Pg with twins. Have 3 children, 5, 2 and 11 months. We are about to be moved to a 3rd floor maisonette with no lift. I get very bad SPD. I am never in a million years going to manage with ginormous bump, a double pram and carrying at least one child.... plus when they arrive I will have had CS #4.

DP says he can't just give up work because we wouldn't be entitled to any help.

Is there any way around it?

That's what I wasn't sure of cc because SPD doesn't seem to be widely known unless you have had it.

I know they ask questions such as do you have trouble sitting standing walking bla bla bla help out of a chair, how long would it take you to walk so many yards, and the little I know about spd it ticks those sort of boxes. Going to bed now, but please do see cab, because you wouldnt want dp leaving his job and then being entitled to nothing for 6 weeks before he had to claim JSA and fart arse about looking for jobs when he already had one

agree with charliecat - see the CAB to get advice before doing anything.

Yes we definately will do. It's early days yet, I'm only 12 weeks pg but the thought of 5 children under 6 is certainly a daunting one!! I just wondered if anyone had maybe needed to do anything similar.

Thanks for your help guys

Total Hijack of thread but ZC it was you I sent the tesco card to for the 500 points for each of us wasnt it? Did you do it and did you ever get points?

why do you have to have a flat?

surely with 7 people you are intitled to a house?
