holiday when on JSA

Hi, I'm currently on JSA for the next 2 months until my new job starts. I have to sign on every 2 weeks. I'm a lone parent so get JSA, CTC and mortgage support. My issue is my parents are taking me and the children on holiday to France at the end of July for 5 days and this covers my signing day.
If I tell the job centre I am going abroad all my payments stop for 5 days and I have to reapply for them. It takes time to set up, in particular, the mortgage support and it's all a whole lot of paperwork for 5 days away.
However - ironically - if I go on holiday in this country I am allowed to complete a 'holiday form' and miss a weeks signing with no penalty.
It's not as if I'm off to an all inclusive 2 week holiday in the Maldives which I've paid for - it's only thanks to my parents taking us we are going.
WWYD? Do I lie and pretend we're going to Wales or do I tell the truth? And, if I lie can they find out?
Thanks

The form mentioned.

I went away in the uk and got called by the jobcentre for a course they had arranged for me that started when I was away and I couldn't get back (I'm not allowed to drive and live rurally and it was impossible to get back). I was deemed to have lied and been unavailable for work during that period. I lost the money for the week I was away (five days) and, everything was suspended whilst it was looked into. It was a nightmare. Even though I was in the uk I was deemed not to qualify for JSA or housing benefit etc as I couldn't get back and deemed to have made a fraudlent claim.

My jobseekers agreement said I was available for work/interview/courses at two hours notice and because of where I went I wasn't able to honour that. Check your agreement.

I wouldn't risk it, obviously it's your choice.

At least you can read the form ahead of your appointment.

@becca the OP is a lone parent so the JSA agreement she would of made with her advisor would not be same as say a single person. As they have to make allowances for making child care arrangements etc, same as wouldn't be expected to apply for night shift jobs, unless your lucky enough to have extended family have your kids.

I remember some bloke refusing to apply for a certain jobs because he didn't want to work wkends as he said his weekends was his Free time & JSA was paid Mon-Fri, nor was he working nights! was big drama over it and couldn't grasp that if he refused then he wasn't entitled to JSA, whereas LP like me wouldn't be expected to apply for such jobs given circumstances so not breaking any rules.

I wasn't on a standard single person JSA agreement either and had exemptions from things like night shift type work/weekends. I still had to be able to take work/go on courses which were appropriate at the notice period I had in my agreement - it just wasn't enough time for me to get back from where I was.

Apologies for misunderstanding.
