I'm working 3 days per week in a reasonably well paid job , around £10 ph.
I have to leave as we are relocating to somewhere out of town. I don't drive and have health probs,
I've been Trying to work out times, travel etc it's a physical impossibility for me to do my job in new location and access childcare! 😭😪
My children are five and seven and currently use childminder as work hours preclude me from using holiday clubs so use childminder all year round as opposed to breakfast and after school clubs.
I've just started looking at jobs and jobs now seem to offer much less money for way more work.
Due to my health I can't afford to take on more stress plus I can't work full time due to pain and fatigue.
I've practically been offered a lovely little job right on my doorstep. Completely out of my experience but perfect considering I'm in desperate need of a career change. The only glitch is it's £7.50 per hour.
I was shocked to find that this is even a legal wage!
So my quandary is: do I take the lovely little poorly paid job which is right on my doorstep?
In terms of health I'd be so much better off and prob be able to ditch childminder in the mornings too and just use evenings.
My concern is that tax credits will no way meet the deficit in my salary and that we're going to be mega skint and if I catastrophise even further that we lose our home.
I have the mortgage on my own and I'm constantly aware of this burden especially with my health possibly going to deteriorate more.
Any advice/info gratefully received. Thank you
