Is there a way I can earn some extra cash on my commute?

I'm not commuting at the moment but will be returning to it soon. 2.5hrs each way on bus & train and whilst I've become good at filling the time I'm wondering if there's a better way? Wondering if I can do something that earns money in that 'dead' time?

Any money-spinning commuters out there to give me a clue? Thanks.

Paid surveys and competitions are not well paid per hour but they're better than nothing. The Money Saving Expert comping board is worth a look.

How much can you make matched betting?

YesThisIsMe · 15/01/2017 12:35

The other question is how long can you continue matched betting? Do you just go through all the sites and then set up a new email account and identity and start again?

Varies. TAkes a while to get the hang of it but then £400-£500 a minth.

I think for about an hour a day ish you could realistically make about 3-400 pounds per month.

You can't sign up again to take advantage but instead utilise the ongoing offers that are available.

Write a novel

You could perhaps be knitting something, to sell, like for example a Sarah Lund jumber: www.sarahlundsweater.com/makeone.html

Surveys and/ or micro-jobs.
Don't expect to earn loads, be prepared for days when you don't qualify for any surveys and there is no work, and for losing your Internet connection when 90% done... Also it can be very tedious, answering surveys on your last online grocery shop or choice of stock cubes, doing Google searches and reporting the results etc.
but if you want sonething to do that will earn pocket money, go for it.
I use Vivatic, Inbox Pounds, YouGov, Clickworker, Swagbucks, GlobalTestMarket & MySurvey. I got a £30 M&S voucher which helped with Christmas food and drink, for eg.

Hi

I'm on maternity leave and have downloaded some market research apps you're not going to get rich but I've made about £250 in a few months. The best ones:
Enlightly (best one by far. Questions aren't every day but for 1 minute you can make £1.15. I've made about £60 in a short space of time)
IPoll. (Need £25 before cashing out but very good)
One pulse (similar to Enlightly v short questions)
Qmee- surveys app.
Valued opinions- no PayPal options like the others but good shop vouchers I.e amazing / M&s

X

The market research/survey thing sounds like the most likely choice for me. However I've got concerns that these sites would be selling my data to 3rd parties as a standard way of them making money??

When you sign up there should be a statement about what they will do with your data, so you don't have to proceed if you're not happy.
