Long shot but anyone know how many people legally can work in a small office ?

Have very very small office-i often work with a student and another midwife.
We are expected to see mums and they often bring their children.
Our office is seriously tiny with no sink ect.
The other day i left the office to wash my hands and a little boy almost pulled the kettle over himself and managed to locate our sharps box !
Sometimes there are 6 of us in the office and its genuinly a big cupboard.
Have approached management many times but does anyone know the legal requirements in square foot ect if there is one ? Or am i banging my head against a wall - literally

According to page 3 of this the volume of a workroom when empty, divided by the number of people working in it, should be at least 11 cubic metres. This is a minimum and may be insufficient depending on the layout, content and nature of the work.
Hope this helps.

Are you sure you have 6 cubic meteres??

A normal ceiling is 2.4m high.

For a space to be 11 cubic metres with a standard ceiling, it would be approx 2m x 2.3m.

Your space must be only 1m x 2.5m which is barely room for one desk to squeeze into!

We're having our annual Health and Safet inspection this week and have all had workstation/workplace assessments. Which means they have done them, acknowledged the faults but doesn't necessarily mean anything will happen!
