I have heard a number of people say this and refer to it - that we shouldn't get our sense of value from how much money and stuff we have, shouldn't 'grip' hold of it, as it were, but take it fairly lightly and as a small part of our lives.
They say this, because money and wealth can be fleeting and variable and if we lose it or experience losses, it's important to have perspective and see what matters in life most - not money or possessions, but relationships and other things.
Do you agree and if you feel you do 'hold lightly' what has allowed you to do this?
