I am changing cards to consolidate my bits and bobs( and then will do the sensible thing and cut up the card) just wondered if I could transfer a balance from my LTSB visa/debit card? Then I could pay off the o/d and cancel the arranged o/d so I won't be able to use it?

I can transfer money online from my LTSB visa debit card, could you do it that way?

Hi Nikkie - would it be a case of drawing some cash off the new 0% card to pay your overdraft off?

nikkie · 04/02/2007 19:48

thistime- yeah can you do it?, its only £500 but it would be nice for it to be with all the other debts and then my account would be clear .

I dont see why not if you have a pin number, or like charlie said if you manage your account online you can do it that way. I might apply for one as its something I need to do - cant see them giving me a 5k limit somehow!!!

0% Sony card you get points for taking one out supposedly enough to exchange for 2 DVDs (either a treat or ebay then!)

I'm sure i've done it in the past. Give it a go, it'll either do it or reject the transaction, can't lose either way

nikkie · 04/02/2007 22:16

Will try when the paperwork comes!

If you take it out with a pin, in cash it might not be part of the 0% deal. CHECK really well before you do it.

popsycal · 04/02/2007 22:24

most places let you but check when the paper work comes

popsycal · 04/02/2007 22:24

sorry meant that most places let you do a balance transfer into your bank accoutn

ledodgy · 04/02/2007 22:26

I think you have to ask for a superbalance transfer which means the money will be put into your bank account it explains how to do it on moneysavingexpert.co.uk.

charliecat · 07/02/2007 18:06

Did you manage to get it done Nikkie?

nikkie · 08/02/2007 19:36
