Self assessment is mobile phone deductable?

I'm doing my DH's self assessment tax return (a bit late I know) and wondered if I can deduct his mobile phone bills as "costs" since he uses his mobile a lot for work?

Thanx

as far as I can recall if it's solely a work mobile and the bill is paid through the business it's all costs.

if it's his personal mobile which he uses for work you can claim the cost of work calls only (ie not line rental and not any other calls) as costs, which means going though each bill with a pen...

yes as MrsBadger

if he uses it 50% for work, 50% for home, for example, you can deduct - guess what! - 50% of the costs

Ok, thanx for the help. I suppose I'll go throug a few to see if it's worth the hassle.
