We have our own regularly returning bots to tell us how bullying and hateful we are.

Glossary:

Bots: our affectionate name for victims of the MLM racket

MLM: Multi-level Marketing schemes - essentially pyramid schemes that are just legal because you sell a product. Reliant upon constant recruitment despite there not being enough people in the world to go beyond about 12 levels if everyone recruited 6.

Downline/Upline: the people you recruited and those who recruited you (going up and down the pyramid inverted funnel)

Timeless Vie: Parody of MLM schemes (though you might spot one in particular) that also carries out fearless investigative work

Hommetrepreneur: also excellent parody site focussing on the menz

BotWatch: Rather more serious, keeps an eye on what the Bots are claiming next, particularly in reference to health and income claims. Also fearless.

Inverted Funnel: Timeless Vie is NOT a pyramid - it's an inverted Funnel, OK?

Eyes: Our former member Eyespying who knows LOTS about MLM schemes. He's still our very own #manhun.

Twunk (AKA ForeverYazoonique) has a bottle of Banana Yazoo in her fridge. She's still too afraid to drink it. Yahoo is important as seems to be the primary retail product for Life Tree World.

Just seen your article on MLM being a feminist issue. Younique is co owned by a woman. You name the company in every thread here and yet you can't be bothered to check out the ownership structure for your blog. Lazy.

But even if an MLM IS owned by women, that is beside the point. The vast majority of participants in these schemes are women (source: Different DSAs - in all of them, women make up over 70% of participants) and the vast majority lose money (check out our open letter to Netmums, which has a link to an academic analysis of 350 MLM compensation plans).

Unfortunately women can and do exploit other women, but the vast majority of mlms are headed by men.

Just found the strangest videos on YouTube - three so far. Speeches from celebrities with an MLM message overlaid on them. I wonder if the celebrities know about this or whether it's just a try-on?

Shatavari is an ingredient apparently being peddled by several MLMs, strangely enough "Dubai appears quite a big when you Google. India also seems a big target. Including KPD Healthcare, Mahila MLM Group plus others.

Here are some verbal statements to show a girl you are interested...

From “you look cute in those glasses” to “I want to lock us in a room together for a month and have sex with you and only take breaks for food and water.”

Or my personal favourite; “So were you always hot? or were you a nerd and then you became hot?” Statements like this let her know that you are interested, apparently .

That Wingman site is jawdroppingly awful. I can't stop reading it. It's like a step by step guide on how to terrify a girl into having sex with you.

I used to be a nerd. I wore glasses and had my hair in a bun and I looked at my feet all the time, being shy. Then, one day, I shook my bun out and took my glasses off. The transformation was amazing! I went to some prom or something and there was this 'jock' and we lived happily ever after. Not really.

If nothing else, it's an amusing diversion from discussing massacring MLM .

That sounds a bit extreme, where did massacring come from? Can't type tonight (seriously, making so many mistakes).

Hey! I've been reading since thread 17, and have finally caught up.
I have a juice plus bot who seems to be constantly recruiting. I have commented on a couple of her posts about how the boosters stop you absorbing fat and turn your food into fibre... Magical. I completed a four year nutrition degree, so can back up with science. But she either deletes my posts or tries to out-science me.

My sister-in-law is a forever living rep. Has tried to sell me the c9 cleanse once. I soon out her straight. She doesn't post endlessly on Facebook tho, just an occasional relaunch party (that gets cancelled as no one will go). I do feel sorry for her as she didn't have the money to put in really. My brother had a car accident and required brain surgery so he can't work much, and she was sucked in when on maternity!

I have sent some of the links to her. She has recently got a part time job so hopefully she is seeing the light!
