Need helpful advice how to get money

Hi, I'm pretty desperate to get a little money. I am a single, unemployed mum, I am on my own away from family and friends. For Christmas I had been putting a little aside but I got caught going slightly over the speed limit (first time in 15 years!) and the fine is all my Christmas money. I am desperate to get some money so that I can get my little boy something nice for Christmas and afford to drive over to family for Christmas & boxing day (about 40 miles away). I have tried to sell what I can and my auntie is also trying to sell some things for me on ebay but no-one is buying just before Christmas. I am completely stumped how I can get a little extra for Christmas so any advice would be really appreciated, thank you and I hope you all have a lovely christmas (hope that message isn't too early for you :) x)

hints should always be ignored unless it is a pet or a small child telling you that it needs to excrete.

so just take the post at face value - I did, although it didn't occur to me it was anything else.

Could you do cleaning? Our cleaner sometimes brings her child and that can work fine.

I am sorry for delay in my reply, I didn't get any emails saying anyone had replied since I last messaged. Thank you everyone except the person that said I was hinting for money!!!!!!!!! Why would I go on a site like this and ask for money, which I am sure wouldn't be allowed.
It makes me sad, that I come to site to genuinely ask for help and someone thinks I am asking for money. I am sorry that I didn't word my original message exactly like you would have but I have dyslexia, dyspraxia, attention deficit disorder and I am being tested for possible mild aspergers as well, so I might word things slightly differently than you. But you need to realise that this is meant to be a place that people can come for helpful advice, I never asked for money, I asked for help!
As for the original lady that offered, you are a very sweet person, but don't give your money away to stranger on websites honey xx

Really, just wrap up a large cardboard box from the supermarket and fill it with balloons. Your DS will have a blast. And enjoy being with your family.

What a lovely idea Savoy.
OP my DD is 2 and still has no clue about presents and stuff. My mum isn't getting her anything because there really isn't anything she needs and she can out it towards something at a later date.
Don't be hard on yourself and good luck xxx
