Complain to the officer in charge and, if not happy with response, contact the IPPC, Independent Police Complaints Commission.

LadyOfThePoinsettias · 06/12/2006 20:51

DizzyBinterWonderland · 06/12/2006 20:58

has he been charged? i wouldn't have thought they could proceed with any of this if the paper work isn't up to scratch or they haven't followed basic procedures, especially as he is a minor.

reindeerkid · 06/12/2006 21:00

Bailed to return in two weeks

Agree with Cod - check the warrant. Just wonder if someone decided to search the house before notifying you in order to prevent you hiding or destroying evidence. Normally a responsible adult would have to be present with the child in custody and if you were contactable then you are entitled to ask who they tried to notify, when, and how.
