Housing benefits refused

Vinnie99 · 23/09/2015 17:48

My housing benefit has been refused, due to not enough information about the tenancy agreement so I appealed it and now they are saying the same thing about not having enough information and not giving it in the correct time which it was given in.

Any advice on what I should do ,

No because ironically you haven't given enough information in your post.
What information did you tenancy agreement contain?
As for handing it in at the wrong time that would not affect future payments.

NerrSnerr · 23/09/2015 17:53

Do you know exactly what they want regarding information? If not could you call them to clarify?

I would go to the CAB for advice, they deal with this sort of problem everyday.

Sorry I never saw your posts,

They just said that not enough information was given and was given in too late when it wasn't. I have gave them what they asked for pay slips tenancy agreement bank statements etc , will they back date the payments as I have been living in the flat since March.

They should backdate at least a month , if it is their error and they admit that then until March. You can appeal a decision ( they even pay childcare for appeals).

Was the issue with the actual wording of the tenancy agreement? If so then CAB would be the best idea.

Is your tenancy agreement a proper binding agreement?

softhedgehog · 24/09/2015 11:17

Are you renting from a relative? I believe that disbars you from getting HB.

All sorted after ringing cab thanks x
