Have to pay a fixed penalty, but problem with getting my licence returned

Norty Blu drove through a red light ( I am so embarrased, I am usually so law-abiding, was dashing about between work and DS, nothing coming and I know I shot the lights and felt bad as soon as I had done it), and now have to send my licence off for 3 points. It's a fair cop Guv.

The problem is I THINK we are moving in 3 weeks time, but still haven't exchanged contracts, and we might not be. I have no trust at all in the Royal Mail re-direction service, having endured loads of cock-ups with it in the past. There is no phone number....shall I enclose a note asking them to return my licence to my work address or is it all opened by a computer?

Or if I send it off tofay, will it come back before we move?

Our house is being sold to a dodgy landlord / developer type, not a nice family who will take care of my mail.

What shall I do

Send a registered post letter enclosing your licence, explaining the situation as you have here.

Sorry, not sure how long it takes to return a licence.

Yes, but last time I had my post re-directed, they sent me all the post for the new owner and lost all mine....

Yes, sending a reg'd letter will mean they have to sign for it, and it won't go straight into a big letter-opening machine....perhaps I'll do that.
