Pension for the self-employed?

Would really appreciate if anyone had any advice on this.
DH and I are both self-employed (we have a limited company, but we are the only two employees).
We have a Buy-To-Let which we always considered to be our pension pot.
I have a small pension from a previous employer which I only paid into for 2 years, and haven't added to it for the past 10 years! Wondering if I shouldn't start paying a little into it?
DH doesn't have anything and we were wondering if he shouldn't buy a private pension and start paying into it?
Our accountant has mentioned something about tax relief? for this, but I'm not sure I quite understand ... have tried googling, but find the gov.uk website not very informative.

Thing is, how do you go about finding a pension product?
Would appreciate any thoughts/ideas/product information from anyone who has a pension and are self-employed.

you are not self employed. you are employees of a limited company
get the company to pay into your pensions for you Smile
