They disregard the first £2.5 drop in income anyway, so I reckon they will stay about the same as the drop is not too much over that. You may get a slight increase in tax credits but it won't be much.

Thank you babyroobs ?

Won't it be an overpayment?
If they amended from £19734 to £15818, you will have been paid on the £15818. So if then you earned £16910 which is higher, you will owe them, surely?
Or am I completely wrong here?

Has anyone changed tax credits from four weekly to weekly?how long for payment?and did the change generate a one off payment?

Sierraspider · 13/04/2015 08:03

Shell - I changed mine last year weekly to 4 weekly and it got changed instantly x

Nobody can give you a rough idea of what you will get, but there may be a small overpayment. Try not to worry. There is a calculator online if you want to try different figures to see what the difference might be.

m0therofdragons · 13/04/2015 08:07

They'll type the numbers into a calculator and press the random numbers button and that's what you'll get - fingers crossed the numbers are on your side. That's my experience.

Thank you for your help x

Imo tax credits make it up as they go along I've never been able to figure out their system. I got paid an underpayment of £2500 then the year after suddenly I've been overpaid by £6000 I've always told them if circumstances have changed straight away. It completely baffles MeConfused
