Euro - time to buy?

I don't really follow the strength of the pound but I've just read that the Euro has dropped to 70cents to our £1. Is this very low? Would now be a time to buy if we know we need them?

This is a good time to to buy euros, it hasn't been this low for years, it may go even lower, but considering the rate was almost 1:1 a couple of years ago, it's great

This is the best rate for 7 years. Good if you want cash for a trip.
If you've got a cc that you use abroad ( the free to use sort) you'll get a better rate again, you'll get the banks spot rate. Possibly 4 - 5 pence more on the day. I use Halifax clarity.

No-one knows whether the rate will get even better over the summer or fall back from current levels.

I'd just get currency as I needed it using my Halifax Clarity card, or if you want to hedge your bets, you could exchange half now and half nearer to your holiday, bearing in mind that it could get lost or stolen in the meantime.

i'd get some now.

I did buy some a few weeks back, but the rate is slightly more favourable now.

Typical! The year we go to the USA.
