How much do you spend on yourself a month?

Hi, I often wonder if I am unreasonable in how much I spend on myself a month. We are good for cash, and I do work at the moment but I always feel a little guilty. I am a big charity shopper and I estimate I spend about $100 ( about 75 sterling) a month on bits and bobs including cosmetics etc. Otherwise I spend about $200 each couple of months on my hair. Would anyone else like to share?

I probably spend between £50 and £70 on myself a month. Mostly on clothes.

A couple of years ago we were very strapped for cash. Now we're better off I'm slowly getting rid of the awful, washed out, out of shape rubbish that constituted my wardrobe. So probably about £70 - £100 per month at the moment. Mainly on clothes. I spend very little on cosmetics & the like & use supermarket brand shampoo.
oh I probably spend about £20 per month on e-books too.
And £15-20 on lunches each week.
maybe £50 on a meal/drinks with friends.

suddenly realises where wages go

Not many places to go out round here so I barely spend anything on lunches or food out. Don't really go out of an evening either! Basically spend money on clothes to look chic walking the dogs or walking from car to office! {hmm}

DH and I budget £50 a week for personal spending, that works out at £216 a month.

Per month:
Hair £20
Clothes/make up etc £50 ish
Going out to cafes, pub, day out or occasional meal £30 ish

sebsmummy1 · 20/01/2015 09:07

About £20 but it really depends. Most months I get a few coffees and
the odd meal out. I have never been interested in fashion or getting my nails done etc. I spend £40 on my hair every three months.

TalkinPeace · 20/01/2015 17:27

nothing on hair
nothing on makeup / nails
nothing on coffees out
clothes - maybe £ 10 from charity shops
meals - only with DH
my luxury is my gym membership

WhatWouldCaitlinDo · 20/01/2015 18:33

Facial once a month, £40
Very little on cosmetics and products, prob £10 per month
Hair - £35 every 3 mths

Practically nothing on clothes; I've either been pregnant or breastfeeding for most of the last 3.5 years so after the initial spend I haven't really bought anything new. Once DC2 is a bit older I am going to do a serious wardrobe cleanse, get rid of all my puke-stained crap and buy some decent new stuff.

Don't really know! Probably more than I think! Hair is £60 every six weeks. Maybe £50 clothes, and £50- £100 on going out. Just booked theatre tickets which were £30 so soon mounts up!

Not 100% sure
Approx £150 a month on clothes, cosmetics etc.( sometimes less)
Hair every 8-10 weeks £80
No lunches out, no coffee's out.
Don't buy magazines, papers, etc. all books are usually work related so don't count those.
Think that's it
