would you report to the police

if you paid someone for something on this website and they never sent the item and did'nt give you your money back , and it was a relatively small amount of money but it's theft really is'nt it , I mean if you got you purse stolen and someone took your money you would , or do you think the Police would think you were wasting their time?

Re posting items, always ask the person to get proof of postage at the counter - no need to pay for recorded as this is free for items up to approx £28. I always get this when sending items and have had to claim once - it was very easy and no one was left out of pocket.

They might have sent the item but it was lost in the post so it isn't necessarily theft at all or someone at your end stole it.
