Do any of the benefits calculators work for students ?

I've had a wee look but all the calculations end up wrong because there is never any option for things like bursary , student loan etc .

It depends which one you are using?
Lots won't take into account but also most of the time your income from bursary and grants won't cost. I know my loan doesn't affect our tax credits and it didn't affect me claiming maternity allowance from DWP. Obviously it will affect job seekers as in most cases you aren't entitled.

No I wouldn't trust general calculators as student benefits are complex. Best to visit a CAB or call NUS for advice. Latter has factsheets on student benefits.

I find that the online calculators aren't very accurate. They seem to be generous in stating how much you can get.
