Income roundabouts the border line for wtc but due to sickness could be below it. What to declare?

My DH is on £11300 pa (well actually 7.25 /hr 30 hrs /week) but has had around 3 weeks unpaid due to sickness and broadband down time (he works from home).

I'm unable to work and on esa(c). We don't receive free prescriptions or dental care etc due to our income.

Ds and I both get dla but this isn't counted for ctc.

Would it be wrong to call up and estimate our income just under the threshold as it may well be by the end of the tax year. This would then qualify us for the extra help.... What would happen at the next renewal if we were a hundred or so pounds over the threshold. Would we have to pay the cost of prescriptions etc back?

WTC threshold is about 16k or so you are already below that? I don't normally get any but was I mat leave last summer so salary much lower I got WTC. I got free prescription etc too but not sure if that I am single parent? Don't get any of it now back at work and above that threshold again.

Our joint income is around £16800 if DH doesn't have any unpaid hours. This puts us over the fsm threshold and wtc I think
