Tax return HEEEELP

Ive earnt way under the taxable amount this financial year , but had quite large amounts go through my account to pay suppliers, contracters and the like. When filling out the return, do I declare all of this. Will I have to send originals of all receipts and invoices , cheque stubbs etc , as Im not sure , as its not really turnover or profit as such?

Ive only ever earnt under the tax amount each year and never handled larger amounts before , so filling out the forms in the past has been really easy : earnings / expense deductions / bank interest and thats it. If I have to sqaure up all sorts of paperwork Im dreading it as its due in 3 weeks. Ive only got one of the quick fill in forms.

I only have the short ones now thankfully. I can't help you with that though, sorry. Do you have a tax office nearby? I've been to mine a couple of times in the past and they've gone through it with me. They're generally very helpful ime.

Would the contractors be subcontractors? - there is a bit for that

I think if they pay you for supplies that counts as part of your turnover

They don't want origonals but you must keep them for 7 yrs (I think)
