Hi everyone I'm posting this in behalf of my dh.

He currently pays maintenance payments mutually agreed direct to his ew for 2ds. The access is current set at eow and plus 4 weeks holiday. We are going ahead for 50/50 contact and wondering what happens in the case of maintenance and tax credits ? Do we half what ew is getting and claim along side her for tax credits ? And split any costs for after school clubs and activities etc ?

It will involve us relocating so just having to work out finances etc so knowledge and help appreciated

Only one parent can claim tax credits and child benefit, they can't be split so you have to decide who gets it.

If residency is 50/50 he may not need to pay any maintainence surely as you have the children as much as she does.
