Do All years of NI contributions count towards state pension or only at a certain level?

Just been readi g about needing 35 years of NI contributions for a full state pension.

I'm planning on doing 25 years total in my current job and did 8 years at a previous f/t job. So am 2 years short.

However I had at least 3 years of holiday/Saturday work as a teenager which was properly paid through correct channels rather than cash in hand. So I got a monthly pay slip and definitely paid NI. Obviously I wouldn't have earned a lot and doubt I paid income tax. Would these years count?

You could apply for a statement and find out what has counted for you and what hasn't.

Thanks, will have a look at that later. I don't seem to be able to use it on my ipad so will fire up the laptop.
