Do you hope to win £1 million at NS&I Premium Bonds?

Hi everyone,

I have put my money at NS&I for the last 3 years, hoping to win £1 million. Yet there is nothing yet.

I was wondering if this prize is still common in England and that many still hope to win that big prize.

Should i give up my hope and withdraw the money?

Ernie's robbing you blind Diagonally. £100 invested in a savings account earning (let's be generous) average 4% for 43 years and it would be worth over £500 now...

Actually (warms to a theme) ... £100 in 1970 would be worth £1310 in today's money allowing for inflation. So Ernie's definitely wearing a striped jumper and a mask!

If you have truly won nothing in all that time, you had better look up your holder's number and log onto their website to check there are no unclaimed prizes.

I suppose you told them your new address.

I had £50 invested on my behalf when I was born in the 70's.

I won a tenner once, when I was about 8

I phoned up to find out how much my investment was worth 40-odd years later Blush

"er.. still £50" said Ernie.

I have 30k and won £25 or more every single month for last 3 years, bar 2 months (won £100 quite a few times though). Agree, it's just somewhere to park extra cash, savings rates are dire or I'd look elsewhere.

I have close to the maximum invested and in the last year I won less than the average, just under 1%. So not a great investment - but it's part of an overall portfolio, and there is always the chance of a big win.

I'm impressed with all those winning even £25!

I have had around £5K in premium bonds for theast 2 years and have win nothing.

It's the fact you could win a million it £50k etc that keeps me doing it

If I needed the money I would cash them in but there's a chance every month you could win

Someone HAS to - unlike the lottery where have rollovers and then someone wins £107 million !!!!

Far better to have 107 winners all getting a million imo
