...and theres loads of people up for not paying the tv licence fee...£48 costs dont do it again.
Same for driving with no insurance.
Its cheaper to not cough up and go to court...wheres the justice in that?

paying the tv licence is something that really bugs me

hovely · 03/08/2006 09:09

but surely you still have to pay it, and there may be interest as well, and if you still don't pay then isn't there a worse consequence?

anorak · 03/08/2006 09:10

I think hovely is right.

In our local paper most of the convictions are for driving without a licence - all they get is a fine, probably paid at about 10p a week out of their social. No wonder DH's business is slow! I said he should write to the court and suggest that convictees are made to take lessons with him

Iklboo - my dp is a driving instructor and things are slow for him at the moment too

charliecat · 03/08/2006 13:49

I am keeping my driving instructor in buisness..failing once a month with lessons in betwee

yes they still have to pay it - and the fine can end up at £1000

charliecat · 03/08/2006 14:07

whos makes them, get the tv licence or get car insurance though?
