the 70% is dependent on your income. The higher your income the less of the 70% you get and the amount also depends on number of children.

olek · 27/07/2006 21:22

yes, but at what income levels?

from this year they now pay 80% of childcare costs, but dont know how much you need to earn , i work 20 hours and they pay 80% of my costs
you could ring them

I'm a single parent, work full-time, get paid around £20,000 and don't get any money towards childcare because I earn too much. HTH [Smile]

Think it has to be under 15k and more than 30 hrs. I knwo this becuase i called gingerbread who said i could get this, tax, credit, wtc, and childcare of up to 80%

Caligula · 28/07/2006 08:13

I only work 16 hours, but they pay 80% of my childcare. But I earn 9000 so very low.

I think once you get up to about 13K they start cutting the rate.

If you find out what the formula is, please tell us because it is impossible to get the information out of the IR.

I think i better speak to the helpline, much as i hate doing so. If you check out the other thread there is a link to a website which may help
