We are with Virgin. Our average bill is £85 per month. This includes free calls, and sports and movie channels. But it seems to go up all the time and I am getting a bit Shock.

I would be interested what Sky people pay too.

In fairness it's the sports and movies that are costing you the most. I think sports alone is around £28 a month.

My advice ditch those and get a firestick with a kodi on it. Free movies and sports. And it's not illegal as you're not downloading or uploading anything, just streaming it.

£29 with b.t.

Television , phone and the internet do not cost us that much. Maybe, we are lucky enough to have discounts from the phone company that my husband works.

SasherinSuite · 18/11/2016 08:39

Switched from BT to Virgin recently. Got a deal with unlimited 100Mb fibre, full house tv, BT Sport and free calls anytime for £30 a month. No sport, no movies. I agree it's the movies and sport that's costing you.

£23.50 for phone and broadband with EE. We have Freesat but also pay for Netflix which is £5.99 a month.

Inthenick · 18/11/2016 16:27

I pay £11 per month for Sky broadband and line rental (it's £18/month but they gave me £100 cash card).

I pay my TV licence for the year and Amazon Prime for the year so that's about £220.

SmellySphinx · 18/11/2016 16:34

I pay £22 for broadband including line rental. It's with Fuel broadband, it was a tenner for the first year as they were a 'new' company. Their previous incarnation I can't remember the name of but I believe they were shite looking at reviews online for them at the time. I don't know how popular fuel broadband is though. Not had many problems myself, can play up very occasionally when everyone is using Youtube and stuff but I'm talking about all of us at once using it, XBox and three phones for example

SmellySphinx · 18/11/2016 16:36

Oh and tv we just receive the free channels on an old Sky box

welltakeitaway · 18/11/2016 17:14

I don't have a tv package but I use fuel broadband for my phone and broadband. Comes to £19 per month. Would be interested in finding out about love film. I googled it and didn't give much away

We have Sky and pay £22 that's for phone and broadband.

We also pay for Netflix £7.49 a month.

We also have an Amazon fire stick and have Kodi on it. We watch loads of box sets and films. My DP also pays £10 a month to stream the football.

We used to pay £100 for Sky, all channels. Refuse to pay it anymore. It's a total rip off!

unpackyoursuitcase · 25/11/2016 18:51

I want to switch from Sky but my husband wants very fast broadband. Its £30 a month just for that!! We are on a deal of £10 off that until next month. We pay about £70 in total per month. That's sky talk anytime and line rental and basic family tv package. What could we switch to that has fast broadband?

Deadsouls · 25/11/2016 18:55

Talk talk £21 I think.
Unlimited weekend/evening calls (never use it), broadband, line rental
No Tv package.

NapoleonsNose · 25/11/2016 19:06

£46 for Sky. Line rental, anytime calls, all TV including Sport and Movies and broadband. Haggled hard to get that deal! Had a similar deal last year and when it ended it was due to go up to £80 odd which I would not have paid.

MeadowHay · 25/11/2016 22:30

£28 monthly for wifi, landline (free weekend calls), and the most basic freeview type virgin box (but you can pause, record & rewind on it and has apps and things). That's with Virgin and is for 9 months, thereafter it's £42 a month and it's a 12 month fixed contract. We shopped around and I don't think we could have gotten a better deal.
