BT want a £30 disconnection charge.

Is there anyway of getting this waived? The final bill will be £65, they are such money grabbers.

They actually sounded shocked I wanted to have a new supplier when I could stay with their slow download speeds and super high charges.

sounds rip off -I don't remember having to pay anything other than my fianl bill and told them I no longer wanted their services - I don't have a landline and have broadband through cable which is fine.

Is it in your t&c when you started with them?

lodge a complaint over email and be prepared to argue, politely. Once you get past the Bangalore screen and through to someone with authority in the UK, they may just waive it.
