Mortgage after exchange of contracts

Once you've exchanged,do the mortgage company look at any further payslips etc?
I've started a new job which they know about which pays more than my last job. I hate it,like really hate it. If I return to my old company would they know? Should I play safe & wait for the completion?

No. once you are in your new house the only thing that matters is that you pay your mortgage on time.

If you've exchanged already then a date when the lender will give the money to the solicitor had been set, they won't ask for any more payslips etc now. So they won't know if you switch jobs unless you tell them. Not sure if you'd ge obliged to tell tnem or not, but as the poster above says once you've completed i don't see why they'd care ad long as you're meeting the repayments.
