Hi Just booked a trip to disneyland paris next year for my 4 year old daughters birthday! Really looking forward to it but heard that it is quite pricey... can anyone recommend any tips? (New to NMs) x

Fill up on breakfast & take your own pop & water bottles with you. We never seemed to spend much there but had a diet of Maccy d's & hot dogs!

There's a sandwich bar in the train station right by the entrance to Disneyland Paris. They do great paninis.

We went in Feb for 5 days. We filled up on breakfast and had a half board basic meal plan for evening meals. We took lunch stuff with us in a fridge we can plug in in the car/hotel room. We took bread rolls, cheese, ham, crisps, cereal bars, little cakes and apples. This more than did us for the days we were there. We took the kids water bottles and filled them up at the water fountains, they are scattered all around the park. We surprised ourselves at how little we spent on food/drink but we did plan it well. It meant we had more money for treats from the shops etc to really make it a memorable experience for the children. I am so jealous, you will have an amazing time. We can't wait to go again.

It is expensive to eat in the park but if you go to McDonalds in Disney Village it's a lot cheaper also I believe there's an Earl of Sandwich place there now which is quite reasonable.
Take a bottle of water with you and fill up from the drinking fountains rather than buy soft drinks and if you want them bring sweets from UK, we found sweets and chocolate really expensive.

We easily spent 100 Euros a night for an evening meal for 2 adults and 5 and 2 year old.

I discounted the meal plans that included evening meals as I thought they were expensive! I can't remember how much they were now but i'm sure they were cheaper than that! So I would definitely consider them if we were to go back. Take snacks and squash with you.

We gave the kids an allowance of 50 Euros each - we showed it to them, put it in the hotel safe and told them that they could spend it on their last day so they had all week (5 days) to look around and think what they wanted to buy. This seemed to work a treat and considerably lessened the 'I want, I want' mentality through the week as (obviously) all the numerous bits of toys and tat EVERYWHERE are aimed at catching kids eyes.

In terms of where to eat - there's only one unmissable place IMO, which is RainForest Café. It was wonderful, df and I enjoyed the décor and atmosphere almost as much as the little ones!
