Hi. Just wondering how everyone manages their money? I'm trying to get organised (again!) and am trying to find some software (or an app) that will let me keep track of everything.

Might be being a bit ambitious, but what I'd like it to do is keep track of ...
bank accounts details, but not actual income and expenses, just numbers passwords etc
savings accounts (as above)
utility bills & set reminders
when car mot is due
house and content insurance
nat ins numbers, nhs numbers, passport numbers

the list goes on ....

I've had a quick look at Evernote and Springpad, but neither seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any other suggestions.

Thanks

forget apps. No need.

buy a notebook and use that to list bank account access info; NOT actual passwords, just clues to them that only you will understand. Alternatively get a little card index box with cards (my husband uses this). All your magic numbers also go in this.

buy a calendar and put those dates on it. Stick it on the wall where you will see it.

done. Don't overcomplicate.

I have been using Moneydance on my laptop for around 4 years now...it's ok...and you would be able to do all that you have listed with it.

I also use the HandyBank app on a samsung s3...it syncs with Moneydance (I use Dropbox but there are other options) and enables me to add expenses, check balances etc when I am out & about.

I would now like to be able to sync between 3 device's, desktop, laptop and phone...haven't managed it yet...need to find time to investigate...would be interested in any advice from anyone who had managed itSmile

I use a password manager called Norton Identity Safe which saves me having to remember passwords. Renewal dates for insurance I keep in the calendar on my smartphone. For account numbers I just log onto the website. Other numbers like National Insurance live in the household box file.

Hi. My friend at work has been using a new online thing called www.adminbox.co.uk. It sounds like exactly what you've been looking for sweepsmum
