Hi

I have recently had dc2 and have no idea if we will be entitled to any tax credits. If it is based on last years income then we wont but as my income is dropping while on maternity leave will that changes things? Also confused as have read some places saying that you deduct the first £100 of stat maternity pay fpr every week you are on it?

What is your household income going to be for this tax year?

Then yes you should be eligible for a small amount. Apply using last tax year's income, then when you get your refusal letter you can call and give them projected income this tax year.

I was wodering if anyone can clarify a little detail for me, I am looking to go back to work 2 days a week 9 till 5 with half an hour lunch, in total that is 16 hours which means I might get child care support, but if I take the half hour lunch each day out of the total that means i work 15 hours which means I don't qualify. Does the lunch time count in or out?

No - simple answer! Can you work 9 til 5.30, or 8.30 til 5, you would be better off that way :)
