My ex partner has paid £300 a month(private arrangement) for the last 5 years for our 2 children!
As of yesterday I have been informed by the csa that this is to become zero!
He is a self employed builder (own business) and has declared he is not making profit in the business. I know that he does a great deal of "cash" business and he is obviously not declaring this so can understand how he is getting around this!
However I do also know that he has just sold his house making 150,000+ profit and has moved into rented with his new partner and children! He has not declared this money..... Also when purchasing my house he lent me £80,000 to be paid back on the youngest childs 18th birthday! Could either of these sums be taken into account by the csa???
My partner of 10 months is looking to sell his property and with the profit pay off my ex's loan......surely the csa would be able to do something then!
I really am so desperate and cannot believe how he could not want to pay for his children ( He has them for 4 nights out of 14)
Any advice appreciated
Thanks

Pay off the £80,000 you mean?

Not sure that the house sale will impact on maintenance for kids - were you married to you ex?

Personally I would pay him back the 80,000 minus CM payments of £3600 a year till youngest is 18 & let him chase you for the rest!!!
