Should be 20%, but depends on what you earn for the rest of the year.

MrAnchovy · 19/02/2013 22:56

If you are on a normal tax code you won't have any tax deducted from the lower rate of payment.

MrAnchovy · 20/02/2013 10:51

In fact if your tax code is 810L you will get a REFUND of about £4 a week.

AlphaAndEcho · 20/02/2013 13:08

Ah really ? 810L is my tax code .

Well it depends on when you start ML of course, if you have already started so it drops to the lower rate by the beginning of the next tax year you won't have paid any tax in that tax year so there will be nothing to refund.

I pay £47 per month tax on my smp ! Pretty gutted at we are so skint ! And I work so hard for this country and they even tax me on that !

MrAnchovy · 22/02/2013 20:40

Lonelybunny do you have a company car or other taxable benefits? If so, that is what you are paying tax on. This will be based on an estimate so make sure you check the total amount you have paid after the end of the year when your employer has sent through P60 and P11D forms.

Lonelybunny · 22/02/2013 21:22

I don't have a company car but I do claim back mileage for my job
