I have 5 kids, one of whom is in receipt of the lower rate of disability living allowance for personal care. Tax credits take account of this, I know, but does anyone know what the rate is? I can't find any breakdown on the bumpf we received.

I receive £700 monthly from tax credits and dh earns £22,000 pa. This sounds like a lot to me - it's gone up from £550pm for the last tax year even though dh wage has not changed. I don't work.

Does this amount sounds right. Can I be really nosey and ask what you get to those MNers with 5 kids?

Thanks.

Oh I know I could phone up and ask but I've made enquiries before and then ended up with 4 lots of the same paperwork through the post and a cocked up payment to boot so was hoping I could pick MN's brains first! Smile

mines £302 for 2, so £700 for 5 sounds right. its not a huge amount really when you think how much it costs to clothe and feed kids nowadays, enjoy itSmile

what's the upper limit for tax credits? I just tried the entitledto page and we're not entitled to anything despite dh's not exactly princely income and having three children, one of whom gets the higher rate of DLA.

Hiya, I'm a housing support worker, and a refugee family I am supporting at the moment are recieving £146 per week for five children (one under 1) no childcare costs, and both parents are on JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) which I think is not really counted as an income - not sure if that helps.
