I'm so worried about money. Dh works and earns £13500 and I work p-t at weekends in a shop, 5.40 an hour. But if I work anymore we lose tax credits by one third. Not that I can get a job, I've tried and even evening jobs are scarce here.

I've 2 kids and no one to take them if I find a job in school/holiday time.

sorry to moan, just really poor and don't see a way out for years and years..

Hi

Selling stuff - car boot sales v good i go to ones on a bank holiday and regularly bring home @ £150 mainly selling clothes and toys. Also do my local NCT Nearly New Sales.

Mystery shopper is a good idea the Grocer often advertising these jobs also merchandisers some are part-time I think the Grocer has an online site with jobs. Also have you thought about party plan - Busy Fingers at the Caring parent show in Kent were advertising for promoters have a look at \link{http://www.busyfingers.biz\this}always good to start off where you have contacts ie young kids you than contact all the playgrops nurseries etc in your area.
Another thing is is you arty or musical you could set up art mornings or music mornings.
I used to do music time three mornings a week a village halls in the area - at the time the cost of the hall was about £6 per hour and I charged £1 per child and regularly got £20 a morning...... chin up you'll come up woth something.

ssd - not read whole thread but saw the mention of babysitting. jellyjelly used to do this before she broke her leg and I think she had regular clients and got a decent amount of money through the agency (sitters I think?). Maybe ask her on c/m club?

Sorry I can't help other than that, I think you know we've been in similar boat with dh being out of work since Christmas. Crap isn't it! :(

SSD I've been looking of ways to make money too, not because I'm skint but because I need to do something for me and would like to make some money into the bargain. Last night I discovered

\link{http://www.paidsurveys-uk.co.uk/\this website}

It's a site giving details of online surveys you can complete and be paid for doing so. I don't know how it works or even if it works but it's worth having a look at.

Or maybe you could become a rep for chocoholics/ann summers/bodyshop/one of those companies who host parties and earn commission?
