Have you got a business banking recommendation?

DP is fed up to here (waves hand over head) with NatWest's shabby business account management. This is for a thriving business.

He would like a bank where your business account manager stays in touch. Would you recommend yours?

Not personally, but my boss is about to ditch Barclays, they have been more than useless and are not interested in the little fish, no money in it for them.

well I'm with natwest and I would move to Alliance and Leiscester which I started to do but I also have to change my merchant account and my payment processing so I haven't got round to it but they were a lot cheaper than Nastwest

Avoid lloyds tsb at all costs.

Bank of scotland (not to be confused with RBOS) are very very good.

I'm with HSBC and find that using branch banking is much better than online or telephone, both of which are useless.
I've got a small business which started a year ago. HSBC have been brilliant helping me out with starting up, and I know my business manager by name and to say "hi" to on the high street. It is a small town, though, so that might have something to do with it.
My branch refunded £36 of charges that were put on due to interest being added the day before a payment went in, which pushed me into the red. The telephone banking people said they were unable to do this due to company policy, but the branch just agreed it was unfair and they sorted it out straight away.
They might be good for business banking, but HSBC are shocking for personal banking.
