i have taken voluntary redundancy from work (not really voluntary as they offered 'relocation' which was 50 miles away so not an option with DH and 2 DC) i would like to do an apprenticeship to gain some new skills and get paid but i need to know if i can still claim tax credits and help with childcare. i have been to CAB but they were useless. the online benefit adviser didnt help much either. please can someone help
thanks in advance

Won't it depend on how much you get paid whilst doing the apprenticeship and what that does to your household income? If it's under the threshold you'll still qualify.

remember that the minimum wage laws do not apply to apprenticeships, you can be paid as little as £2.60 during your first year regardless of your age.
