No lender can guarantee such a fast turnaround, the problem is it CAN take less time than that but can also take longer. Can you not ask your existing lender to simply give permission for your house to be rented out, most will agree 6-12 months without any problems and without changing your current mortgage.

I hear what you say Rock, but I wonder if anyone actually had experience of it taking less than the normal stated time.

We need to redeem the current mortgage as we'd like to port the product hence the need to have a BTL put in its place.

I used to work as a mortgage adviser for a high street bank, I occasionally had offers come back within 3 weeks but it was fairly unusual, definitely the exception rather than the rule!

I think ours was 6 weeks last year with HSBC.

We'll be in deep do do if we don't get ours within 6 week!

We've gone with Woolwich and since heard that they're diabolically slow.

Our IFA reckons Nationwide are currently doing 14-21 days to offer.
